Human footprints represent our path, our journey in life.

There is a Path....sometimes it's invisible but it's there.
You may not know where it is going,
but still you've got to follow that path.
It's the path to the creator.
That's the only path worth following.

~ Leon Shenandoah, Iroquois

The blue circle representing the earth with the feet to each side, reminds us of our role as “caretakers”, to leave the earth a better place for our future generations. As we connect to the earth through nature, we learn to listen to our heart, understand and appreciate our role and find a way to live a rich and fulfilled life, in harmony with our highest ideals.

spiral of spirit, dnaThe spiral represents the spirit, the mysterious, our source, energy, connection with all things and the wisdom of our ancestors that guides us along our path.

The spiral is the earliest recorded symbol of spirituality. It is the simplest and most common geometric shape in nature, both visibly and invisibly. From conch shells to weather patterns to DNA to galaxies, spirals are omnipresent in nature.

The spiral is about change, flexibility and looking at a problem from a different perspective and point again and again. The inward turn of the spiral takes us on an inner journey to gain insight, into dreamtime to visions and enlightenment.

seventh generationThe Seventh Generation
“In our way of life, in our government, with every decision we make, we always keep in mind the Seventh Generation to come. It’s our job to see that the people coming ahead, the generations still unborn, have a world no worse than ours – and hopefully better. When we walk upon Mother Earth we always plant our feet carefully because we know the faces of our future generations are looking up at us from beneath the ground. We never forget them.”
Chief Oren Lyons, Onandaga Faithkeeper.
